Band 141 Awards Banquet

Award Recipients

Pattern

The Hawkeye Marching Band held our annual awards banquet in the North End Zone of Kinnick Stadium in February, to celebrate our students, staff, donors, campus partners, and the rest of the HMB family. Our community made our 141st season very special!

In addition to the awards shared below, the HMB honored the contributions of 41 fourth-year members, nine fifth-year members, one sixth-year member, and one eighth-year member, and we celebrated the accomplishments of our outgoing Drum Major, Amanda Thomas, and Golden Girl Kylene Spanbauer. We also honored twenty-five members of the band who have maintained a 4.0 GPA (or higher) throughout their career at Iowa. We recognized ten exemplary leaders in the band with the Rank of Honor Award, and the two recipients of the Truax Family Scholarship, Joseph Horne and Luz Martinez. A wonderful evening of memories, good food, and one final singing on the Alma Mater was shared.

Join us in extending our gratitude to all of these individuals for their contributions!
