The Black + Gold Drumline started in 2022 to meet the needs of our growing population of drumline students at the University of Iowa. The line performs for some Men's and Women's Basketball games, other Iowa Athletics events, and outreach and community engagement events.

Students who wish to participate in the Black + Gold Drumline register for Drumline Techniques (MUS:2160:0001) in the fall semester, and Special Topics in Music (MUS:4800:0003) in the spring semester. The group rehearses 1x per week in the fall semester, and 2x per week in the spring semester.
