During the November 20 game against Illinois, 70,000 fans in Kinnick Stadium joined us in celebrating Lou Crist's 40th Anniversary as the Golden Voice of the Hawkeye Marching Band! Lou marched in the Hawkeye Marching Band in their 1958-59 season, including an appearance in the 1959 Rose Bowl. He has been the voice of Hawkeye Marching Band pregame and halftime shows under six of the band’s thirteen directors.
