On October 22, the Hawkeye Marching Band joined forces with The Ohio State University Marching Band for a historic halftime collaboration honoring the career and music of Elton John. It was the most integrated and complex Big Ten band collaboration yet, and one of only a handful of combined halftime shows in the conference's history. The performance earned widespread acclaim from local and national media outlets, including a shoutout on social media from Sir Elton John himself!
