Alex Bush loves bringing people together through storytelling. A trained dance artist, she holds an MFA in dance from the University of Iowa, and a BFA in dance from Florida State University. Her work has evolved from engaging audiences in stories told through movement and the body to incorporate photography, video, text, and other mediums in creating meaningful connections through dynamic storytelling. These days, that looks like working as a social media manager for the University of Iowa in the Office of Strategic Communication, creating content for the university's main social channels and managing student engagement initiatives like the Hawkeye Influencers and Life as a Hawkeye student vloggers.

In addition to her work as the university's social media manager, Alex is a member of the volunteer staff for the Hawkeye Marching Band, managing the band's social media channels and website. She is a freelance dance artist, photographer, and designer, and she is also wife the HMB's director, Dr. Eric Bush, and mom to the Hawkeye Marching Band's biggest fan, their six-year-old son, Brecken.
