Keelie Kruse, MA Candidate in Horn Performance

Graduate Teaching Assistant

Keelie Kruse is originally from Nashville, Tennessee. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Horn Performance from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she studied with Dr. Katie Johnson-Webb. While at UTK, Keelie was also a year member of The Pride of the Southland Marching Band where she was a Section Leader for 2 years. Currently, Keelie is working towards a Masters Degree in Horn Performance. 

As a performer,  Keelie performs with multiple ensembles including the UIowa Symphony band, UIowa Horn Choir, and the Burlington Brass Trio. In addition to performing, Keelie maintains an active teaching studio based inIowa City. She’s so excited to work with the University of Iowa Band Program and cheer on the Hawkeyes this year!
